California has always been expensive and with a single income I had to be creative when it came to entertaining. Fortunately, I found enough party basics in library books and women’s magazines that with a couple Wilton cake decorating yearbooks and my imagination my kids’ had many memorable parties in whatever themes they requested. Your blog makes it so much easier for busy parents to do the get the same result without the months of planning. Though I don’t have children’s parties anymore, I love your ideas for holidays.
